The 2008 rabies spring clinics will be held throughout the month of May. These dates pertin to dogs, cats, and farrets 3 months of age and older. Relay for Life Auction
The Lewis County Relay for Life Auction will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Lewis County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Food booths open at 5pm, with the auction starting at 6:30pm. Items are donated by Relay for Life teams. This is a great fundraiser and fun for the entire family!

Annual Opening of the American Maple Museum
The annual reopening of the American Maple Museum is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, and begins bright and early with a pancake breakfast from 6:30am-9:30am. Their ham dinner will follow at 11:30am. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:30am with the Hall of Fame Induction of William E. Brown as well as many other events. An extensive display of maple syrup equipment and crafts will be held outside on the grounds. The American Maple Museum is located at 9756 State Rte. 812 in Croghan. Lowville First Presbyterian Church Special Preview of "Holy Ghost!"
The Lowville First Presbyterian Church will hold a special preview of "Holy Ghost!" on Sunday, May 18 at 4pm. The musical is about the post-resurrection appearance of Christ; the anticipated date for full stage prodcution is All Saints Day, November 1 (location TBA). On the 18th, it will be a work in progress performed. Those intersted in peforming or helping with the upcoming Fall production please come! Benefit Rides for Trail Development
The Lewis County ATV Association will sponsor a series of benefit rides for trail development. The rides are scheduled for Saturday, May 3, July 19 and September 20. Pre registration is Friday evening from 6pm-9pm at Snow Ridge Ski Area restaurant. There is also registration Saturday morning from 9am-11am at the Wax House at Snow Ridge. The entry fee is $10.
